Kgatleng District Council has called for the amendment of the Arms and Ammunitions Act to provide for the compensation of people who surrender firearms.

The arms quota raffle was held at the Broadhurst Police Station on Monday. The applications for acquisition of firearms for 2002 totalled 34 848.
