MANILA, Philippines — An incumbent mayor of Albay province was arrested at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport Terminal 2 early Monday morning for violating the election gun ban, a police spokesman said.
Malinao, Albay Mayor Avelino Ceriola was about to board Philippine Airlines flight PR 277 en route to Legaspi City at 6:30 a.m. when he was arrested by members of the Aviation Security Group, said Chief Superintendent Leonardo Espina.

NAIROBI — The training and supervision of Administration Police officers is being questioned following recent shootings involving officers from the force.
Last week, a total of 10 people were killed by APs under unclear circumstances.

One of the handguns that John Patrick Bedell used to shoot two Pentagon police officers this month was seized five years ago by a Tennessee police department that later traded the weapon to a licensed gun distributor in Georgia, law enforcement sources said Sunday.
