The NSW branch of the Sporting Shooters Association has labelled parents' fears over a Fairy Meadow gun shop proposal as "alarmist". The association's NSW executive officer Richard Gawned said parents were "ignorant" if they believed the opening of a gun shop would make Fairy Meadow or nearby St John Vianney's Catholic Primary School unsafe. "Parents are being very alarmist — it is just due to their ignorance and because it is a gun shop," he said. On Monday the... (GunPolicy.org)
