CHISINAU, Moldova — Pro-Slavic separatists in eastern Moldova are manufacturing weapons for Chechen rebels fighting the Russian army, Foreign Minister Nicolae Cernomaz said Tuesday. The weapons are made by four companies in Trans-Dniester, a Russian and Ukrainian separatist region in the east of the country, Cernomaz asserted. CUPERTINO — Police said on Tuesday they had thwarted plans for a "Columbine-style" attack on a California community college, arresting a 19-year-old man and seizing weapons including 30 pipe bombs, guns and ammunition.
