Valentine's Day, 1995. The Liberal government of Prime Minister Jean Chretien introduces Bill C-68, the toughest gun control legislation this country has ever seen. Key among its provisions were: - harsher penalties for serious crimes such as kidnapping and murder, where firearms are used - the creation of the Firearms Act, taking administrative and regulatory aspects of the licensing and registration system out of the Criminal Code - licences required to possess and... DENVER — Gun owners and firearms dealers in Colorado are accusing Citibank of discrimination because of the financial company's long-standing policy that limits service to companies that make or sell guns. "This is basic discrimination-political correctness run amok," said James W. Winchester, a former assistant U.S. attorney who is now vice president of the Colorado State Shooting Association. "It says that we are not good citizens because we are associated with... (GunPolicy.org)
