FAYETTEVILLE, Tennessee — A high school senior shot and killed another student in the school parking lot Tuesday, three days before they were to graduate, apparently because they had argued about a girl. The shooting happened at about 2 p.m. in a parking lot at Lincoln County High School. Gun-related incidents in Toronto have dropped 40 per cent in the last five years, despite public perception that the city is awash in firearms, police say. Force statistics show a steady decline in incidents involving guns since 1993. That year, police reported 4,942 cases in which firearms were used to commit everything from simple mischief to murder.
