Shawn Martin was at work when she heard that her 12-year-old son, Brandon Gatling, had been shot with the 9mm handgun she had borrowed to protect herself. Brandon and his 11-year-old cousin were playing with the gun. The bullet ripped Brandon's right shoulder and severed his spine. He died 20 minutes later. That was five years ago. Martin hasn't touched a gun since, and it's a safe bet she'll never touch one again. But she has relived her son's death over and over... (
