NOBODY got hurt last week when an antique pistol discharged while Rep. Bob Barr, R-Ga., was handling the weapon during a reception in his honor. But he was later hit by verbal fire — and responded in kind — from John Linder, his challenger in Georgia's Aug. 20 primary. Mr. Linder told the Atlanta Journal-Constitution that "The first time you hear this (the incident involving the gun), it's funny. But it's not funny. The guy's a loose cannon." Naturally, Mr. Barr...
