A former police officer, whose sons were murdered, has called for a halt to the trade in deactivated guns — which can easily be turned into live-firing weapons. Steve Walker's sons, Andrew, 26, and his half-brother Alex Woodcraft, 17, were found shot dead at a flat in Lincoln in August. They had been murdered by Jeremy Earls, 34, who used an Israeli-made Uzi nine-millimetre gun — which he bought legally as a deactivated model and then restored to full working... (GunPolicy.org)
