France to Tighten Gun Control Laws

PARIS — The French government on Tuesday announced plans to tighten controls on gun dealers in the country, faced with an increasing wave of armed violence.
France's domestic security council (CSI) met on Tuesday and asked the country's defence and interior ministers to draw up new legislation forcing gun shops to seek preliminary authorisation before opening an outlet.
