US Lawmakers Bicker Over Stand Your Ground Laws After Recent Deaths

WASHINGTON - The mother of a 17-year-old boy shot by a suspicious neighbour told a panel of U.S. senators Tuesday that state "stand your ground" self-defence laws do not work and must be amended, reviving the politically charged gun control issue a year ahead of the 2014 midterm elections.
