Bullets from the Sky, Amateurs with Guns Multiply Firearm Injury in Libya

ZUWARA, Libya — If not for guns, there would be a lot of idle hands in Libya.
Out front of what used to be a high school, Fethi Karshman, 49, whose brother Samir lives in St. Catharines, Ont., is wiping down parts of a Russian anti-aircraft gun.
When he is done, Karshman, an engineer who studied Russian in university, will re-assemble the weapon, which sits on a flatbed truck.
"We take it from Gadhafi (forces) yesterday," he says.
