More than 1400 individuals and their families have been hurt or traumatised in instances where guns were reportedly used to commit crimes in the country.
Guns are used to kill people, commit rape, robberies, used in tribal fights and other violent crimes where these weapons play a major role.
Many people in PNG are victims of gun-related incidents while many more have lost loved ones, family members and properties in gun-related incidents.
