ROYAL OAK — A 28-year-old Rochester Hills man killed himself with a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head in front of witnesses Wednesday afternoon at the Target Sports shooting range on Woodward Avenue, police said. The man, who was not identified pending notification of next of kin, had apparently arrived alone at the store around 1 p.m. and rented a .40 caliber handgun to shoot at targets, according to Royal Oak Police Lt.
