In Kansas, Nearly 3,000 More People Are Cleared to Carry Concealed Guns

LAWRENCE, Kansas — Nearly 3,000 Kansans have been cleared to carry concealed guns, with more applications being processed.
The attorney general's office had expected to receive about 5,000 applications by the start of the new year. The law went into effect Monday, after the Legislature approved it last session.
