EVANSTON, Illinois — An Evanston man has been charged with felony weapons violations and child endangerment for leaving a loaded handgun under a toy box in the home he shared with three small children. His 4-year-old nephew died Wednesday after his family says the child found the gun and accidentally shot himself.
