SPRINGFIELD, Illinois — Gun-control advocates suffered another defeat at the state Capitol Wednesday when the Illinois House easily turned back an attempt to let victims of gun violence sue gun dealers. The proposal received just 48 "yes" votes, well shy of the 60 needed to pass. But the bill's sponsor, Democrat Rep. Robert Molaro of Chicago, used a parliamentary maneuver that allows him to call it for another vote later. Molaro's measure would allow lawsuits... (GunPolicy.org)
