WASHINGTON — A U.S. ban on assault weapons will expire in September unless President Bush works to extend it, but so far he has failed to "lift a finger," backers of an extension said on Tuesday. "The White House has refused to lift a finger to help us pass it," California Democratic Sen. Dianne Feinstein told reporters.
