KAMPALA, Uganda — The Karimojong have agreed to surrender their guns on condition that government pays them 20 cows per gun surrendered. The resolution was read by Loroo LC5 councillor Pius Lalat to Karimojong MPs at a meeting at Amudat, Upe county, Moroto, Thursday. A kraal leader, Yerer said, "I am tired of my gun and can surrender it. But we do not manufacture guns. We bought them using cows so the Government should pay for them by refunding our cattle."
