Minimum Age to Purchase and Possess in South Carolina
South Carolina prohibits any person under age 18 from possessing or acquiring a handgun. Firearms dealers are prohibited from knowingly selling, offering for sale, delivering, leasing, renting, bartering, or exchanging any handgun to any person under age 18.
There is no minimum age to purchase or possess rifles in South Carolina.
