Cooperation in Tracing

1. The Department of Military Equipment is the national liaison and contact point for tracing, responsible for receiving or initiating requests for assistance. Where necessary, it cooperates with other bodies.

2. One significant action undertaken by the Government through its competent agencies with a view to tracing firearms, ammunition and explosives present in the country is the creation of the National Centre for the Tracing of Firearms, Ammunition, Explosives, and Ancillary and Related Items. A decree on the creation of this body is under consideration in readiness for promulgation.
