Article 2:

La présente loi est applicable aux armes et munitions autres que les matériels de guerre qui constituent l'armement réglementaire des Forces Armées et de Sécurité ou de toutes autres forces publiques.

Elle ne concerne pas non plus les armes et munitions dont doivent être régulièrement munis les officiers de réserve, à charge pour ceux-ci de justifier de leur qualité.

La détention d'armes et de munitions de guerre est formellement interdite aux particuliers.

Act No 04-050 of November 12, 2004, Regulating Arms and Ammunition in the Republic of Mali

Article 2:

This Act shall apply to firearms and ammunition other than weapons of war constituting the regulatory armament of the Armed Forces and Security, or any other public forces.

It also should not apply to firearms and ammunition constituting the regulatory armament of the reserve officers, leaving it to them to prove their quality.

Possession of firearms and ammunition of war is strictly prohibited for individuals.
