Article 1. (Objective)

The objective of the Law is to regulate and control the manufacture, import, export, temporary admission, trade, sale, donation, transportation, transit, storing, renting, handling, use, possession or carrying, destruction, deactivation, rehabilitation, recording, monitoring, inspection, hijacking, seizure, confiscation and other activities related to firearms, ammunition, explosives, classified materials aimed at the manufacture of explosives, fireworks or pyrotechnics, their parts, components and other related materials under the framework for the Security and Defence of the State and Public Safety.

[Editor's Note: After reviewing available legislation and other source documents, found no evidence of a provision in law to regulate this aspect of firearm policy. As some authorities enforce restrictions only in practice, the mere absence of a published legal provision should be treated with caution]
