Let's cut through the veil. The most stirring part of Monday's rally for gun reforms was its irrelevancy. It wasn't the choked words of Ross Zimmerman, whose son, Gabe, was killed in our January shooting. It wasn't the impassioned pleas to prevent gun violence spoken softly by petite Patricia Maisch, who snatched the ammo magazine from suspect Jared Lee Loughner. None of it mattered.
