Up to eight US army officers face disciplinary action over the behaviour of a major accused of a shooting spree, officials quoted by US media say.
Thirteen people died when psychiatrist Major Nidal Hasan opened fire at the Fort Hood base in Texas last November.

NEGAUNEE, Michigan - Michigan State Police are reporting that more and more people want to carry a gun.
During the 12 month period that ended in June of 2009, the number of applications to carry and conceal a weapon in the state of Michigan more than doubled from the year before.
In 2001, Michigan became a "Shall Issue" state. That means the only people denied permits are convicted felons and those with mental illness.
