The legal effort to hold gun makers liable for gun violence in the District was back in court this week for what was likely to be a last attempt to keep the lawsuit alive in its original form.

Parents of 4-Year-Old Who Shot Self Convicted of Neglect

VALPARAISO, Indiana — A jury convicted a Portage couple on neglect charges for allowing their 4-year-old son access to a handgun that seriously injured him when it went off.
Jurors deliberated for six hours before returning with the verdicts Wednesday against Hector Santos, 25, and Jennifer Santos, 26, who were accused of placing the boy in danger by leaving two loaded guns under a bed in a room where he was watching television.

Singer Knight Backs Anti-Gun Song

R&B star Beverley Knight said she sang on an anti-gun single after being "haunted" by the fatal 2003 shooting of two teenage girls in Birmingham.
Knight and drum 'n' bass star Roni Size have released No More in a bid to reduce gun use among young people.
She said she was "horrified" by the deaths of Charlene Ellis, 18, and Letisha Shakespeare, 17.
Size, whose New Forms album won the 1997 Mercury Music Prize, said gun use was "nothing to be glamorised".
