PAULDEN — The raven flies proudly here in the high desert. It hovers above Old Glory atop the flagpole and is stamped on belt buckles, polo shirts and pistol grips.
It even hangs above the commode.
But the large black bird does not augur misfortune, as in Edgar Allen Poe. It's revered as a carrier of wisdom here at the internationally famous Gunsite Academy, where cops, military folks and "normal citizens" pay $1,000 for one week of pistol training.
