Bear Attacks Prompt Review of Firearms Ban

Parks Canada is reviewing its ban on firearms in national parks because of the recent spate of polar bear attacks.
"We've begun discussions internally, and, to a certain extent, with some stakeholders," said Alan Fehr, Parks Canada superintendent of the Western Arctic. Three recent attacks in which two people were hurt prompted the discussion, he added.
