Where were you when you heard that JFK had been shot? For many it is one of the frozen points of their history, a day to remember all their lives. But try as I might I cannot recall where I was when JFK was killed in Dallas. The memory has been erased and all that remains are images — the grassy knoll, Jackie Kennedy's blood- spattered dress, the debonair president smiling, waving, collapsing. Alive one minute and dead the next.

City Challenging Law Requiring Gun Sale

LEXINGTON — City officials have positioned themselves to fight a 1998 law that requires guns confiscated by police to be sold at auction.
Fayette District Chief Judge Kevin Horne has ordered Lexington police to destroy two illegally concealed handguns taken from Dale Arnett, 42, during a Sept. 6 arrest on a drunken driving charge. Arnett agreed to the guns' destruction as part of a plea deal, court records show.

Gun Control Group Targets Industry

WASHINGTON — Computer games endorsed by gun makers are "marketing tools to attract new customers for the gun industry," a gun control group contended Thursday.
A study prepared by the Violence Policy Center, a Washington-based gun control group, examined several computer games endorsed by Remington Arms Company, Colt Manufacturing Company and shooting magazine Guns & Ammo.
