NEW YORK — A survey of American physicians found that the majority believe that firearm violence is a major public health issue, and most support the involvement of the medical community in efforts to prevent gun-related injury and death.
"The staggering death toll from firearms, particularly among young persons, is unacceptably high. Clearly, the 'killing threshold' for severely restricting firearms has been passed," according to a Position Paper on gun violence... (GunPolicy.org)
