GOP Out of the Gate With Gun Bills

Pro-gun lawmakers launched a massive effort to liberalize Colorado's handgun laws, introducing three measures on the opening day of the 2003 legislative session that could drastically alter the landscape for carrying concealed weapons.
Current law allows Denver and other counties to deny permits to anyone and to prohibit people with permits from carrying handguns in schools, parks, sports arenas and elsewhere.
