WARSAW — For years, membership of a pistol or rifle shooting club was an near essential social attribute among Warsaw's olitical, business and show business elite, the German news agency, DPA's Eva Krafczyk reported from Warsaw. But today the man on the street is racing to acquire firearms or other means of defense in sheer alarm at the soaring crime figures.
