Gun lobbyists have come out in support of a crackdown on home invasion crimes.
The government's looking at a law change to introduce much tougher sentences for people convicted of crimes involving home invasion.
The Council of Licensed Firearms Owners says it wants the introduction of a five year mandatory prison sentence for anyone who uses a firearm to commit a serious crime.
