Suing Gunmakers Banned by Philadelphia Law

HARRISBURG — Over objections of Philadelphia's incoming mayor and despite pleadings of Philadelphia's out-going mayor, Gov. Ridge signed into law yesterday a bill that bans Philadelphia from suing gun makers.
"This is an issue inseparable from a basic constitutional right, the right to bear arms," said Ridge spokesman Tim Reeves.
