Physicians often don't ask patients whether they have a gun at home, but a group of doctors say it's time to start. Dr. Garen Wintemute, director of the violence prevention research program at the University of California—Davis wrote recommendations for discussing gun ownership with patients in an article published Monday in the Annals of Internal Medicine.
