Tasmania Gun Amnesty: 778 Firearms Surrendered

More than 700 unwanted firearms have been surrendered to Tasmania Police at gun amnesties around the state since September 2013.
Police experienced a highly successful amnesty at Longford earlier this month with about 100 guns voluntarily handed over to police, along with 1500 rounds of ammunition.
A total of 778 unwanted guns have been collected in the past two years and two months.
