Dominican Republic to Launch Disarmament Campaign

SANTO DOMINGO, Dominican Republic – The Dominican Republic is following Brazil's lead in an effort to gets weapons off the street as part of a strategy to reduce crime.
Under an agreement between the two countries, Brazilian experts will offer technical assistance to help Dominican authorities establish a program to "reduce the number of firearms and ammunition among the civil population," according to a prepared statement from the Ministry of Economy, Planning and...
