Changes to firearm laws in Tasmania are expected to take more guns off the streets. The Police Commissioner is set to announce that firearm dealers will no longer be amnesty points. Under Tasmania's permanent firearm amnesty, people with unregistered and unlicensed guns can hand them into police without fear of criminal charges.
