Chilean Authorities Worried After Robbers Use Illegal Assault Weapons

Just after 9:30 a.m. Monday, four heavily armed suspects entered a Santander bank in Pudahuel, just seventeen miles northwest of Santiago, in an attempted bank robbery of 60 million pesos (US$121,000).
The heist proved unsuccessful as three of the suspects were detained upon fleeing the scene, while the fourth sustained a gunshot wound to the left arm and was admitted to a local hospital under police custody.
