Guyanese police are reporting a spike in armed robberies and a slight increase in murders and an 8.1 percent reduction in road fatalities. In its latest update, the Guyana Police Force stated that robbery under arms has increased by 15% up to October 2012, with 854 reports compared to 744 for the same period in 2011.
