Sydney's west has experienced a 20 per cent spike in drive-by shootings, the latest NSW crime statistics show. The number of shootings at premises in western Sydney increased from 73 last year to 88 this year, the director of the Bureau of Crime Statistics and Research (BOCSAR) Don Weatherburn said on Tuesday.
