Global Gun Trade Treaty Promises Universal Weapon Standards for Pacific

Oxfam has applauded Pacific island leaders for committing to work together and form a common position on the International Arms Trade Treaty.
The treaty is being negotiatied by UN member states and will create the first universal standards for arms trading. The Pacific has had little representation in talks so far. But now, the region has a chance to have its voice heard when the treaty is negotiated in July next year.
