South African Police Committed to Clear Backlog in Gun Applications

The police are doing their best to clear the backlog in firearm applications, Police Minister Nathi Mthethwa said on Thursday.
"The ministry is doing its best, although more still needs to be done, particularly around capacitating the office," Mthethwa said in a statement, referring to the Central Firearms Registry (CFR).
