Gun Lobby Boss Warns 2012 US Presidential Vote 'Critical for Gun Rights'

LITTLE ROCK, Arkansas — The leader of the National Rifle Association said Tuesday that the outcome of next year's presidential election is important to gun owners because the Second Amendment "hangs by just one vote" in the U.S. Supreme Court.
Wayne LaPierre, chief executive of the NRA, didn't voice support for any single presidential candidate, but he complained that President Barack Obama's choices for the high court support laws that restrict gun ownership.
