SHREVEPORT, Louisiana - A former Louisiana police chief who pleaded guilty to lying to federal agents about his department's handling of firearms has been sentenced to six months in prison. A federal judge on Friday also ordered former Vidalia Police Chief Ronnie "Tapper" Hendricks to pay a $3,000 fine and perform 1,000 hours of community service.
