Gun Dealer Illegally Sold Weapon to Utah Mass Killer, Says Lawyer

SALT LAKE CITY — The lawyer for a woman wounded in a deadly Utah shooting spree argued Monday that a pawn shop shouldn't have sold the gun to the 18-year-old shooter because it was equipped with a pistol grip, making it illegal to sell to minors.
Carolyn Tuft, whose daughter died in the 2007 shooting at Trolley Square in Salt Lake City, is suing the pawn shop that sold one of the guns that authorities say Sulejman Talovic used during the attack.
