A minimum age limit for shotgun licences should be introduced, according to the Scottish Government, after it emerged one had been given to a child of 10. Scottish ministers believe the Coalition Government should introduce the limit if it is not prepared to hand over power on gun control to Holyrood, a spokesman said.
