Police, Civil Servants Among 70 Arrested in Philippine Election Gun Ban

MANILA, Philippines — Police have so far arrested a total of 70 violators of the gun ban, including a number of soldiers and policemen, for the October 25 barangay and youth council elections, the Philippine National Police said Wednesday.
PNP spokesman Senior Superintendent Agrimero Cruz said the list included two soldiers, three policemen and two government employees.
