Police Chiefs Honour 'Booted' Colleague, Boss of Canadian Gun Registry

EDMONTON - Canada's police chiefs have praised and decorated the former head of the long-gun registry who was booted amid allegations of political interference.
"He's a true professional … who made a sincere effort to keep Canadians safe," said Chief William Blair of the Toronto Police and president of the Canadian Association of Chiefs of Police, bestowing an award of recognition on Chief Supt. Marty Cheliak.
