Replacement of Canadian Gun Registry Boss 'Intimidating, Suspicious'

OTTAWA — The head of the Canadian Firearms Program, who was a vocal proponent of the long-gun registry, has been replaced and is currently on leave from the organization.
The move to replace RCMP Chief Supt. Marty Cheliak comes a few weeks before Parliament is scheduled to continue to debate a Conservative private member's bill to scrap the registry.
